Advent

The prophets of old repeatedly foretold the coming of the promised hope of Israel, the long awaited Messiah. Speaking through Isaiah the prophet, God promised to save His people through the birth of a child who would personify the character of God Himself, becoming to the people a Wonderful, Counselor, a Mighty God, and Everlasting Father, a Prince of Peace. The background of this banner symbolizes the jubilant sound of the trumpet of the ages heralding the birth of hope for humankind. One can almost hear the joyful strains of Handel's Messiah reverberating the many names that describe the King, the child, the Savior was was to come. Related scripture: Isaiah 9:6 KJV
